b-side has unveiled plans for its 2026 festival on the Isle of Portland. The programme, titled That Other Place, marks the final chapter of a six-year arts project exploring land, identity and belonging. Fifteen artists will create installations, performances and interactive experiences across Portland during the festival in September.

The programme, titled That Other Place, marks the final chapter of a six-year arts project exploring land, identity and belonging.

Fifteen artists will create installations, performances and interactive experiences across Portland during the festival in September.

Projects include sound installations inspired by the former Portland Fair, large-scale light displays, storytelling events and community workshops.

Organisers say the festival aims to celebrate Portland’s unique character and make contemporary art accessible to everyone.
