Weymouth residents are being invited to explore their town’s past at a special archaeology open day. The Weymouth Dig 2026 project will open to the public this Saturday on St Nicholas Street. Visitors can tour the site, see artefacts and meet the volunteer team behind the excavation. Dorset Council says it’s a chance to celebrate local heritage and community spirit. The free event runs from 10:30am to 3:30pm.
