Two men have been jailed after a stabbing in Weymouth left one victim with life-changing injuries. Detectives say information from the public played a key role in securing the convictions.
Dorset Police says public information helped detectives convict two men over a serious stabbing in Weymouth.
The attack happened outside King of Hearts in St Alban Street during the early hours of 14 June 2025.
Two men in their twenties were assaulted, with one suffering a stab wound to the chest and life-changing injuries, including the removal of his spleen.
Following a trial at Winchester Crown Court, Jurjingo Berisha and Arjol Haxhija were both found guilty of wounding with intent.
Berisha was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Haxhija received a 10-year sentence.
Detectives described the assault as savage and unprovoked and thanked witnesses and members of the public who came forward with information.
