In another pivotal game in Weymouths season they once again came up Trumps on the road in Berkshire.
Weymouth took the lead inside two minutes after Matty Burrows won his side a free kick mid way inside the Bracknell half. It was then his delivery that was flicked on by Goodship at the edge of the box and as it bounced on the edge of the 6 yard box neither goalkeeper or defence took charge allowing Calvin Brooks to steal in and poke the ball home.
Weymouth took control of the half and kept creating chances. Opportunities fell to Tor Swann, Matty Burrows and Tom Bearwish, before the skipper, Bearwish latched on to a delightful flick through by Goodship, after excellent work by Calvin Brooks down the right, and dispatched
home. The Terras were unlucky not to be out of sight by the break.
At the start of the second half another ball through found its way to the captain in the area, but his shot low in to the near post was very well saved by ex-Terra Zaki Oulah down to his right.
The game was comfortable for Weymouth right up until the final minute of normal time. A free kick given away by Matt Neale 30 yards from goal was saved by Max Evans but the Weymouth stopper could only parry the ball back out and it was tapped in, setting up a nervy six minutes of additional time. The terras were not really troubled though and saw it out for a vital three points.
