One of the UK’s largest free folk festivals returns to Weymouth next weekend with live music, dancing and a new Fringe programme.
Wessex Folk Festival returns to Weymouth on May 30 and 31.
The free event will bring live music, Morris dancing, workshops, family entertainment, traders and food stalls to South Harbourside and Hope Square.
The 2026 line-up includes Granny’s Attic, The Countrymen, Captain’s Beard and Threepenny Bit.
New for this year is The Fringe, a programme of performances and workshops hosted at Weymouth Drama Club.
The festival has been running for more than 20 years and is recognised as one of the UK’s largest free folk festivals.
