Weymouth Community Hospital is set to become part of a major expansion of NHS mental health support in England.
The Government says new community mental health centres will help people get support earlier and closer to home.
They are designed to bring NHS teams, GPs, councils and voluntary groups together under one roof.
The wider £343.4M plan also includes new mental health emergency departments, giving people in crisis specialist care away from A&E.
The first facilities are due to open from this autumn.
