Weymouth Lifeboat Week Returns with 10 Days of Family Fun and Fundraising

Weymouth Lifeboat Week is back from 6–15 August, bringing ten days of entertainment, community events and fundraising in support of the RNLI and the volunteer crews who help save lives at sea.

The annual event is packed with activities for all ages, giving residents and visitors the chance to support Weymouth RNLI while enjoying everything from lifeboat displays and family fun days to live music and fundraising events.

Event Highlights

Thursday 6 August

• 7:30pm – Giant Paddleboard Racing at The Official Test Centre (OTC), Portland

Saturday 8 August

One of the busiest days of the week includes:

• 10:00am–4:00pm – Emergency Services Display, Nothe Gardens
• 10:30am–3:00pm – Lifeboat Open Day, Nothe Parade
• 11:00am onwards – Dress up as an RNLI crew member outside the Lifeboat Shop (£2 donation)
• 12:00pm–6:00pm – Family Fun Day, Nothe Gardens
• 4:00pm – Lifeboat Display at Newton's Cove

Sunday 9 August

• 1:00pm – Blessing of the Lifeboats with The Salvation Army Band at Nothe Parade

Monday 10 August

• 6:30pm – Lifeguards Challenge on Weymouth Beach

Tuesday 11 August

• 11:00am–12:00pm – Crabbing Competition at the Lifeboat Station, Nothe Parade
• 7:00pm–9:00pm – Live music from The Leggomen at The Boat on Weymouth Esplanade

Wednesday 12 August

• 6:00pm – Quiz at Sea aboard Coastal Vibes Cruises
• 6:30pm – Lifeboat Display at Bowleaze Cove
• Grand Draw

Saturday 15 August

• RNLI Silent Disco at The Closet Bar & Night Club
