Weymouth Parkrun Celebrates Historic 600th Event This Saturday

Weymouth Parkrun is preparing to celebrate a major milestone this Saturday as the much-loved community event reaches its 600th edition.

Hundreds of runners, walkers and volunteers are expected to gather at Lodmoor Country Park to mark the occasion, with organisers pulling out all the stops for what promises to be a memorable morning.

To celebrate the landmark event, participants can enjoy live performances from Rock Choir, plenty of celebration cake, and the fantastic community atmosphere that has made Weymouth Parkrun one of the area's most popular weekly events.

The volunteer team is also appealing for a few extra helpers to ensure the celebrations run smoothly, with a handful of marshal and event roles still available.

Last weekend's event came incredibly close, with almost 600 people taking part, so all eyes will be on Saturday morning to see if the community can match the event number with the attendance.

What is Weymouth Parkrun?

The event takes place every Saturday at 9:00am at Lodmoor Country Park, starting at the back of Lodmoor Car Park (DT4 7SX). Whether you're chasing a personal best, taking on your first 5km, or just looking to enjoy the community atmosphere, the 600th event is the perfect time to get involved.
