Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Weymouth. Officers want to speak to a man in a white T-shirt who spoke to the victim at the Esso garage in King Street shortly before midnight on Saturday.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Weymouth.
During the early hours of Sunday 31 May, it was reported that a woman aged in her 20s was assaulted with a glass bottle by a man known to her at an address in the town.
Her injuries are not believed to be serious.
A 22-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, making threats to kill and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.
He remains in police custody.
Following enquiries, officers believe the arrested man and the victim were involved in an altercation at the Esso garage in King Street at around 11.40pm on Saturday 30 May.
Detective Constable Holly Hetherington, of Dorset County CID, said police want to speak to a man wearing a white T-shirt with a beard, who spoke to the victim at the garage.
She said he may have vital information to help the investigation.
